Berman Glass editions is created when several inorganic substances are fused together. The mix of these raw materials is what is known as the batch, which is composed mainly of three components: silica sand, soda ash and limestone. Recycled glass represents approximately 20% of the materials used in the fabrication of Berman Glass editions.
To become Berman Glass editions, flat glass is pressure formed with a specific design; it is modified through the application of pressure when it is in a semi-molten state. This process produces a ribbon of glass with controlled thickness and texture, design and shape.
